Personal Best is pleased to present its highly touted program …...Mental Toughness for Peak Performance for Newburyport High School student-athletes, coaches, and parents. Registration information appears at the bottom of this bulletin.
Educators/coaches Pete Moscariello and Scott Farris have been recognized nationally as top peak performance trainers and have conducted over 400 successful workshops from Maine to North Carolina for college and high school athletic teams, student-athlete groups, parent groups, school faculties, business, and individuals. We have presented our Mental Toughness program to teams & athletes in basketball, hockey, football, soccer, baseball, softball, wrestling, lacrosse, swimming, tennis, and golf. Our program is designed to help participants increase their chance for success in performance – athletic, academic, career, or personal.
Simply stated, Mental Toughness is the ability to perform at peak levels regardless of the circumstance and conditions. We all need Mental Toughness because athletics/academics/daily living is hard and presents us with frequent challenges and obstacles.
So how do we meet those challenges and overcome those obstacles? While most athletes have been conditioned to seek improvement by simply doing more physical reps or just “working harder”, all the recent research shows that, in conjunction with physical training, developing and practicing strong MENTAL SKILLS is vital to peak performance.

This course, which can be 60-90-120+ minutes, is customized to fit your needs. Our program has proven to benefit professionals-parents-students-athletes-performers: anyone who desires to increase her/his chance for success in school, performance, work, athletics, or home life.
Research shows that successful and fulfilled people in any walk of life all have one thing in common – deliberate and practiced mental toughness. Thus, the instructors will provide the same mental toughness techniques that US Olympians, top college and professional athletes, elite performers in music and the arts, and prominent businessmen/women use to maintain peak performance.
Participants are guaranteed to enjoy the upbeat atmosphere and positive energy created by the instructors. Each course member will be an active participant in the sessions, as instructors will use live demonstration and videotape to enhance learning.
